Welcome to Monday, everyone. Let's get things started this week by giving a very necessary shout-out. In fact, let's give five thousand of them.
On November 24th, Kansas City Comic Con celebrated the one-year anniversary of our very first announcement. Six days later, we reached a huge milestone on our official Facebook page. Five thousand followers!
We couldn't have done it without you, folks, and we're working hard to put together a show that not only matches this year's but improves upon it. Stay tuned for more information, and if you're not already following us on Facebook, you can find us here.
In related news, we've added the calendar feature mentioned in last week's state of the union. At this point, there are several upcoming area events, but we'd like your assistance in making sure we don't overlook anything our followers should know about. Find listings here.
Last but not least, we'd like to introduce you to a friend of Kansas City Comic Con, Roderick Townley. Roderick is the author of numerous children's books, including his most recently published work, A Bitter Magic.
Should you find yourself on the lookout for stories involving characters you'll care about living in worlds you've never seen, then Roderick's books will appeal to you, no matter what your age.
As always, questions and comments can be placed in the box below or sent to me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks for reading, and let's get started on that second five thousand.
